Pavel holds a master’s degree in computer science with a specialization in bioinformatics and biocomputing from Brno University of Technology. During his academic journey, he conducted his master’s thesis in Loschmidt Laboratories where he explored the use of variational autoencoders for ancestral sequence reconstruction. He also actively participated in the iGEM team (International Genetically Engineered Machine) and worked in the industry where he focused on the hardware acceleration of network traffic processing through P4 language and FPGA technology and chatbot optimization and implementation.
Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at Masaryk University, working in the artificial intelligence team of Loschmidt Laboratories under the guidance of Dr. Stanislav Mazurenko. His research interests revolve around protein stabilization, and he is currently focusing on the analysis of molecular dynamics data using machine learning for the advanced design of biocatalysts.
