Celebration of Successes

After the summer break, we had plenty of reasons to celebrate!

Honza Velecky, along with Matej Berezny, Milos Musil, Stanislav Mazurenko, and David Bednar, announced that their BenchStab manuscript has been accepted for publication in the Bioinformatics journal. Honza shares: “The paper went through a very critical peer review process, but we addressed all the reviewers’ concerns and are excited to celebrate this achievement three years after the initial idea!”

In addition, David Harding-Larsen took home the Best Poster award in the AI and Computational Method category at biocat2024 in Hamburg!

Martin Marek was invited to speak at the AIST conference at Keio University in Japan. His presentation will delve into the relationship between luciferase structures and luminescence reactions, and he views this invitation as a recognition for our team from the community.

Zbynek Prokop and his team celebrated the acceptance of their joint paper with Petr Klan’s team, which has been approved for publication in ACS Catalysis. Zbynek notes: “It was a challenging project with many technical hurdles, but we prevailed! The newly developed fluorescent substrate will be used in experiments in Martin’s team.”
