Our Researchers at DESY & European XFEL Meeting

Martin Sitte and Martin Marek recently represented our team at the DESY Photon Science Users’ Meeting and the European XFEL Users’ Meeting in Hamburg (January 25–28, 2026).

These high-level meetings bring together current and future users of macromolecular crystallography (MX) beamlines and X-ray free-electron laser (XFEL) infrastructure, with a specific focus on biological sciences research.

In addition to the main sessions, both researchers participated in the MX Satellite Workshop. A key highlight was the discussion on advanced sample preparation techniques for serial synchrotron crystallography at the EMBL/SPC facility—a crucial step for capturing high-resolution structural data.
