Research interests

Aliaksandra is a doctoral student interested in studying the structural organisation and molecular functions of apolipoprotein E (ApoE), particularly focusing on its yet-unexplored DNA-binding capabilities and their potential relevance to Alzheimer’s disease. Her goal is to unravel the molecular basis underlying the pathological features of ApoE using a combination of biochemical, biophysical, and structural biology approaches, including X-ray crystallography, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, and surface plasmon resonance (SPR) techniques. Additionally, she is eager to learn computer-based drug discovery pipelines for the rational design of small molecules targeting pathological functions of ApoE.
