Research interests

Jan Stourac is a software engineer who focuses on developing novel in silico strategies and software tools to identify new proteins and improve their properties such as stability, activity, specificity, and enantioselectivity. He strives to find possible ways how to design user interfaces to make them interactive and easy to use even for scientists without extensive bioinformatics knowledge. He is also interested in the practical methods of software deployment and maintenance and high-performance computing applications. He has recently extended his focus on personalized medicine. He wishes to develop novel software for the in-depth proteomic analysis of child tumours with outcomes applicable directly to the design of treatment plans.
