Profile
Research interests
Lenka Hernychova leads a research team at Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute, which is engaged in the study of protein structural features, dynamic properties, or protein-ligand interactions. Her group uses a hydrogen/deuterium exchange approach based on replacing the amide hydrogen with deuterium in a biomolecule´s backbone, combined with mass spectrometry measurements. This technique is complementary to NMR, cryo-electron-microscopy, and other structural biology approaches. In addition, the team performs various types of proteomic analyses, mainly focused on clinical proteomics.Education
