Research interests

Martin began his career as an experimentalist, specializing in protein stability. He gained hands-on experience with a wide range of laboratory techniques, focusing particularly on the detailed analysis of protein stability and aggregation. More recently, he transitioned into computational biology and bioinformatics, where his work centers on data analysis, bioinformatics tool development, and virtual screening for novel drug candidates. His main projects include developing a tool to assess the effects of missense mutations on protein function and applying a state-of-the-art virtual screening pipeline to identify potential therapeutics.
