Research interests

Tim is interested in improving the outcomes for stroke patients through the improvement of currently available thrombolytic drugs. The primary aim is to improve the properties of the thrombolytic staphylokinase towards enhanced thrombolysis with minimal side effects. He aims to address this question through various computational molecular dynamics simulation tools, including adaptive sampling MD simulations and classical MD simulations. Through this, he seeks to introduce rational changes to the protein to improve its properties and applications as a thrombolytic.
