Niek’s Research Stay

Over the past five months, Niek Fraaije (University of Groningen, The Netherlands) has been working in the Loschmidt Laboratories research group on his master’s project, focusing on gaining hands-on experience with machine learning in molecular biology. During this time, Niek developed a strong understanding of a wide range of machine learning tools and methodologies, and successfully designed and implemented his own model as part of his research.
Just as important was the working environment—the group fostered a supportive and relaxed atmosphere, making the learning process both productive and enjoyable.
