{"id":11294,"date":"2026-03-23T12:51:51","date_gmt":"2026-03-23T12:51:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/loschmidt.chemi.muni.cz\/peg\/?p=11294"},"modified":"2026-03-23T12:52:38","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T12:52:38","slug":"microbiological-excursions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loschmidt.chemi.muni.cz\/peg\/microbiological-excursions\/","title":{"rendered":"Microbiological Excursions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Students from the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University recently had the opportunity to take part in an enriching four-day field trip, visiting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Czech Collection of Microorganisms:<\/strong> Learned about the storage of microbial samples and attended a fascinating talk about an expedition to Antarctica.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>RECETOX, CELSPAC Biobank:<\/strong> Explored the collection and processing of biological samples and monitoring in population studies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>EPS Biotechnology:<\/strong> Toured analytical and microbiological laboratories, the bioreactor lab, and enjoyed a guided tour (with a tasting!) at the brewery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>GeneProof:<\/strong> Gained an overview of the company\u2019s focus on in vitro diagnostics and the specialized devices they offer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Field trips are incredibly valuable for students, often providing their first exposure to professional practice outside of university lab exercises.
