{"id":11583,"date":"2026-06-04T04:29:12","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T04:29:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/loschmidt.chemi.muni.cz\/peg\/?p=11583"},"modified":"2026-06-04T04:32:17","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T04:32:17","slug":"press-release-new-algorithm-helps-scientists-reduce-protein-aggregation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loschmidt.chemi.muni.cz\/peg\/press-release-new-algorithm-helps-scientists-reduce-protein-aggregation\/","title":{"rendered":"Press Release: New Algorithm Helps Scientists Reduce Protein Aggregation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.it4i.cz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IT4Innovations<\/a>, we have developed a unique machine-learning\u2013based tool called <a href=\"https:\/\/loschmidt.chemi.muni.cz\/aggreprot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>AggreProt<\/strong><\/a>, capable of rapidly and reliably identifying \u201csticky\u201d regions in proteins that drive protein aggregation. Protein clumping into non-functional clusters has long limited the effective use of proteins in real-world applications. AggreProt could help overcome this challenge and accelerate the development of proteins for medical, industrial, and environmental applications.
