Honza Successfully Defends His PhD Thesis

We are pleased to congratulate Jan Mican on the successful defense of his PhD thesis, Molecular Modeling and Bioinformatics in the Study of Thrombolytics.

Honza completed his doctoral studies in Environmental Health Sciences at RECETOX, Faculty of Science at Masaryk University, under the supervision of David Bednar. During his PhD studies, Honza authored or co-authored 13 scientific publications, with four additional manuscripts currently in preparation. He also broadened his international research experience through internships at the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) and the Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel).

At his thesis defense, Honza presented his research with clarity and confidence and successfully addressed questions from the review committee, which included Marian Novotny (Charles University, Prague) and Artur Gora (Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland).

Beyond his scientific achievements, Honza has been a valued member of Loschmidt Laboratories. His enthusiasm, positive attitude, and collaborative spirit have made a lasting impact on our team.
