Press Release: New Algorithm Helps Scientists Reduce Protein Aggregation
In collaboration with IT4Innovations, we have developed a unique machine-learning–based tool called AggreProt, capable of rapidly and reliably identifying “sticky” regions in proteins that drive protein aggregation. Protein clumping into non-functional clusters has long limited the effective use of proteins in real-world applications. AggreProt could help overcome this challenge and accelerate the development of proteins for medical, industrial, and environmental applications. The results were recently published in the prestigious journal Communications Chemistry.
This work was carried out with the support of the CLARA Center.
