Open Postdoc Position: Protein Engineering

We are seeking a motivated scientist for a postdoctoral position in bioinformatics and molecular modeling team of the Loschmidt Laboratories at the Masaryk University and International Centre For Clinical Research (ICRC), Brno, Czech Republic.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• construction of rationally designed protein mutants
• creation of semi-rational libraries for directed evolution of proteins
• protein expression, purification and biochemical characterization
• presentation of results at conferences and workshops
• supervision of students and younger colleagues

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology or related fields
• experience with protein biochemistry – expression, purification, biochemical assays
• well organized, responsible, self-motivated, creative and flexible attitude
• positive personality with sense for team-work
