Our Perspective in Nature Catalysis

Our new article, “Quantum Computing for Faster Enzyme Discovery and Engineering,” has been accepted by Nature Catalysis!

This perspective, co-authored with Petr Kouba and Josef Sivic (CIIRC, CTU Prague), explores how quantum algorithms can tackle biocatalysis challenges that are impossible for classical computing.

We highlight quantum’s potential to revolutionize enzyme simulation and design. Although current hardware is limited, advances in algorithms promise breakthroughs in catalyst discovery and in silico protein evolution, transforming enzymology and industrial bioprocessing.
