Poster Award for Andrea

Sincere congratulations to Andrea who won a poster prize at the CCP4 Crystallographic School in South Africa – Data Collection to Structure Refinement and Beyond. The workshop was held from 22 February – 5 March 2021 online due to Covid-19 pandemics. The title of the poster was “Structural analysis of a haloalkane dehalogenase from subfamily HLDIII”. Andrea joined the workshop to get help solving the crystal structure of a novel enzyme, providing X-ray diffraction data supported by cryo-EM reconstructions. Unfortunately, the case proved to be somewhere between extremely difficult and impossible even for the experts in the macromolecular crystallography thus the structure remains unsolved.
