Researchers from LL published in collaboration with colleagues from ETH Zürich and the University in Greifswald the results of their six-year research project in the prestigious journal Chem Catalysis. The article provides an answer to a fundamental question: “Is it better to modify existing enzymes through protein engineering or to search for new ones in nature’s vast diversity”?
