Research interests
Daniel Pluskal is a doctoral student interested in physical biochemistry, enzymology, and biotechnology, including modeling and computational methods, in protein/enzyme engineering. Daniel’s projects revolve around bioluminescence and fluorescence, which he intends to harvest to create applicable technologies for science and medicine, as well as everyday life. Daniel also enjoys process development and the technical aspect of scientific work and, as such, gravitates towards automatization and instrumental methods such as FPLC/HPLC and fermentation. Besides his academic life, Daniel partakes in organizing various competitions, seminars, and events that popularize science among the youth. Daniel is a musician (medieval, classical orchestral, and modern folk music) and goes in for archery and role-playing games.Education
