Daniel’s Research Internship at University of Exeter

Our doctoral student, Daniel Pluskal, spent three weeks at the Vollmer Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Biosensing at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom.

The focus was on gaining hands-on experience with their single-molecule biosensing technology, which can characterize enzyme kinetics and protein dynamics on previously inaccessible timescales — tracking even the movements of single atoms.

His experience enables the establishment of this highly sensitive technology in the Loschmidt Laboratories at Masaryk University & International Clinical Research Centre (ICRC) to expand our research capabilities.
